Gordon Richardson

Gordon Richardson is employed as the Executive Director of the Lifesaving Society of Nova Scotia. A long-time resident of Dartmouth, Gordon had a long a history of involvement with the delivery of emergency medical services. Earlier in his career, he managed his family business that provided ambulance service in HRM and in parts of Pictou County. Gordon was also part of the management team of EMC Emergency Medical Care Inc. and worked with a group of Nova Scotian health care providers that established an Emergency Heath Care System in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Ever focused on the health care system, Gordon has also been active with the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Red Cross and Victorian Order of Nurses (VON). Gordon volunteers at his church, is the Treasurer of the Arthur Kidston Memorial Camp and is a freelancer writer for a weekly newspaper.
