Bruce Johnson

Bruce is co-owner of City Drug Store, a pharmacy specializing in custom medications in Yarmouth. He graduated in 1974 from Dalhousie University's School of Pharmacy. Bruce has experience working with diverse cultural and social-economic groups and knowledge of how - and under what realities - successful community initiatives operate in a rural setting. Some of his volunteer work will show you why. Currently, Bruce is co-Chair of the Yarmouth Literacy Council, Chair of the Yarmouth-Shelburne Black Employment Partnership Committee, Co-Chair of the Yarmouth Hospice Society and a member of the Yarmouth Branch of the CMHA. For the past nine years, Bruce served on the Board of Directors of the Black Business Initiative whose purpose it is to foster a dynamic and vibrant black presence within the Nova Scotia business community.
