Rainer is an entrepreneur and owner/operator of TecBox International Ltd, a packaging and shipping company that designs and builds custom wooden crates packaging primarily for the hi-tech and aerospace industries. His business is located in Rhodes Corner, near Bridgewater. Rainer and his family were the first applicants - and the second arrivals - of Nova Scotia's newly implemented Nominee Program, created to offer a quicker entry into Canada for qualified workers and experienced entrepreneurs who wish to settle in Nova Scotia and become permanent residents of Canada. Rainer, who has a degree in business administration, was previously a manager with Hewlett Packard in Germany, and immigrated with his family in Spring 2004. He and his family like Nova Scotia's ocean, 'no crowds', our friendly people and that they're still not too far from Europe to visit their families. His volunteer experience includes the International Baccalaureate Society, being a member of the Board of Directors of LaHave River Credit Union, the Bridgewater Rotary Club and the Bridgewater Chill Volleyball team.
